We love a good gig story. I mean, there is nothing better then hearing how amazing Sam and/or Marcus can be while they are performing live. And today, we got one of those stories that we just HAD to share. Especially for all our U.S. friends, cause we know you are missing the guys like WHOA!
Our friend Dawn from the White Post Inn sent us an email today with her story from Sam’s performance from last Friday. And when we read it, we were SUPER surprised (and jealous)!!
I’m sure that via Twitter you were aware that on Friday 18th Oct Sam Bradley was doing a free show in Somerset in the UK. Well, that gig was for me at my pub @WhitePostInn and I thought you might like to hear how it went, as it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable nights of my life.
It was the second time this year that Sam has performed a gig for me (yes, I am a lucky lady) and he goes down a storm, blowing my customers away with his incredible talent playing the guitar and his unmistakable vocals. I love Sam’s music, but seeing him perform it live just takes it to another dimension. Not only that, he surprised me by turning up with the one and only Marcus Foster, who accompanied Sam during his second set on guitar, vocals and even played Passport on my very own piano!!
Impromptu, unrehearsed, and definitely improvised along the way, they had a lot of fun and treated the crowd to a very special experience of a lifetime that we will never forget.
Set list included:
- Science Prevents Me
- You Don’t Mean Nothing To Me
- Woman You Crazy
- I Just Want To Be Loved Again
- Soho Whores
- Only Human
Second set with Marcus Foster:
- Pride and Joy – Albert King/Stevie Ray Vaughan cover
- She Moves Me
- That’s How Strong My Love Is – Otis Reading cover
- I got a woman – Ray Charles cover
- My Girl – The Temptations cover
- Little Sister
- Too Far Gone
I’m sure there were a couple of others in the first set but I was too busy to make notes!!
HELLO!!! SAM AND MARCUS BOTH PLAYED!! We had NO idea! And this set list… just wow. Dawn is one lucky lady, and we are so thankful she shared with us, and allowed us to share with you!
Do you have an AMAZING gig story? Feel free to send it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. And let us know if you are okay with us sharing. (You don’t have to let us share to share with us. In fact, we love the stories we’ve been told and NEVER shared the BEST!!)
